Cursebreakers!

May 23rd, 2019
So I decided to start ANOTHER project, because that's what you do in this hobby! I made some minor adjustments to two of the Warband's bases, and than did a total Customization on the leader with the exception of his head. I used an alternate model which I feel fits better with the overall asthetic of the team, mostly due to his robes. I used a higher base to help distinguish him as the leader given that he doesn't have a tall helmet, and I added the little floaty rock bits that came with him and added a skull of my own to set him apart a little more.

I always thought I was going to paint my Stormcast Eternals in black armour. But now that I am on the brink of getting started, I find myself being drawn towards the GW blue and gold! I will most likely go with GW's scheme, but make it a little darker and give it some battle damaged/wear and tear. Here are the primed models.

Having a hard time with the metallics...

Progress! I finished painting up the Shadespire terrain that I scratch built, and so have been feeling even more inspired/motivated! I also played a game of Arena Mortis with the terrain!!! I think that using a Cursebreaker in the game would be pretty nasty! SO.... I sat down and started work on my "counts as" Averon Stormsire. I tried a new order to painting after struggling with Rastus (Abouve), I dry brushed and then went back and cleaned up, voila! The red has been really fun to paint, and I am excited to get going on all of the glowy bits!
